EXCEL PROGRAM—Celebrate Me Night

We would like to thank all the parents and students who turned out for “Celebrate Me Night” honoring our students and teachers who participated in the EXCEL grant for the first session. All students received a t-shirt and everyone got a free “all you can eat” bowl of chili , cookies and drink.
Since this is our first year we are learning and it was very good night but also lengthy. When we have our next special night we will do the powerpoint presentations during the eating time. The performances will be after the eating and this should shorten our program considerably. We do however, appreciate everyone who stayed and celebrated all the activities with us.
As you could tell the students are having a great time and learning too! The teachers are enjoying their opportunities to work with different children and doing different activities they would not normally have the chance to do in the regular classroom setting.
We have a few openings for the 2nd session. If your child wants to participate call the school office at 435-0011.
